Project Overview
The scope of work for the contract involved the upgrade of the Life Safety Systems Electrical Installations and an Upgrade to Fire Doors and Fire Compartmentation and all associated builders works at St. John Bosco Community College, Kildysart, Co.Clare
The works were carried out during the summer holiday period when the school was partially closed to the public.

Scope of Works
- Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced waste facility
- Provision of supplementary containment systems to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems
- Upgrade of the existing Distribution Boards throughout the campus to provide new Emergency Lighting Central Test Facilities
- New dedicated power supplies for the Fire Alarm System and Door Hold Open Devices
- Replacement of all general lighting fixtures with new LED units throughout the school
- Replacement of all external lighting with new LED lanterns
- New self-contained emergency lighting system throughout the school to current IS 3217 standards
- Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the school to current IS3218 standard
- All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations
- Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and associated electrical installations
- Upgrade of fire doors and fire compartmentation to current standards
- All associated builders work, opening, making good fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes
- Full contracts clean of the entire school building immediately prior to handover
- Maintenance of the new installations for the defect’s liability period (12 months)
