The overall scope of works for the day ward and entrance block expansion consists of distribution board installation, wiring, cable containment, cable installation, lighting, emergency lighting, socket and outlet installation, information communication technology, installation of medical supply units, implementation of CCTV and an access control system, setting up a fire detection and alarm system, a nurse call system, and an uninterruptible power supply.

Scope of Works

• New switchgear was installed and integrated with the existing local switchboard.
• A complete cable containment and support system was installed; comprised of cable ladder, tray, trunking, conduit, and support steelwork.
• David Doyle Electrical installed general lighting and emergency lighting. The lighting system included high quality LED luminaires, absence/presence detectors, and light fittings capable of integrating with wireless technology.
• The small power system installed included socket outlets, fused connection units, and small power services outlets.
• A nurse call system was installed; operating as a self-contained system that provides cardiac alarm, emergency call, and patient calls.
